Excellence in Wildlife Stewardship Through Science and Education
The Wildlife Society, founded in 1937, is an international, non-profit scientific and educational organization serving and representing wildlife professionals in all areas of wildlife conservation and resource management. Their goal is to promote excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education.
The Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society was formed in 1965 and conforms to the bylaws, policies, code of ethics, objectives, and position statements of The Wildlife Society. Chapter efforts are designed to involve resource professionals and stimulate involvement by all concerned individuals.
The annual meeting will be held February 18-20, 2010, at the Galvestion Hilton and Convention Center. Pre-registration for the annual meeting is now open, both as electronic submission through this website, and through postal mail. As part of the annual meeting, there will be a GIS/GPS workshop held from 9:00 - 3:30 on February 17th, and an Advanced ArcGIS workshop held from 9:00 - 3:30 on February 18th. Both workshops will be held at the Galveston Convention Center. See the workshop announcement for more information.
